Established in 2012, Polaris Realty Capital is an investment management and advisory firm focused on providing a wide range of income producing real estate strategies in equity and credit through different economic cycles.

We have co-invested alongside and advised clients on more than 1.7 billion dollars of investments. Polaris is active throughout the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Texas.

Ziyad ‘Zach’ Mneimneh

Founder and CEO

Based on his lifelong belief in and commitment to the multihousing sector, Ziyad founded Polaris in 2010 and leads its strategic development and evolution. He constantly monitors macro trends in economy, finance, demography and culture that impact the multihousing industry; and pro-actively interacts with a wide range of industry players to maintain his fingers on the pulse of the industry.

Ziyad originates & maintains all strategic relationships with investors, operating partners and financing sources. Internally, he directly leads deal origination, underwriting, & acquisitions, and oversees asset management.

Prior to founding Polaris, Ziyad held key positions in multinational corporations in the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East. He is an Advisory Committee member at the National Multifamily Housing Council, the industry’s prime trade organization in the US.

Sergio Lora

Director

Sergio is responsible for supporting Polaris’ acquisitions which includes sourcing and underwriting of potential investments, due diligence, and partnership structuring. He also works closely with the asset management team to monitor and assess portfolio performance and business plan execution.

Prior to joining PRC, Sergio held roles in private equity, banking and management consulting, which allow him to bring experience in credit and structured investments across various asset classes including workforce housing, student housing, & hospitality. Sergio holds a Master of Science in Real Estate and Infrastructure from Johns Hopkins University in D.C.

Sergio Lora

Sarah Podzemny

Senior Asset Manager

Sarah is in charge of the asset management of the company’s multifamily portfolio. Backed by over 15 years of pertinent multifamily experience, her primary objectives are to maximize asset performance and enhance market value. She establishes the asset management strategies and works with our operating partners to implement the strategies and attain company objectives.

In addition, Sarah also ensures the seamless and timely periodic asset management reporting between all stakeholders of the company’s multifamily portfolio.

Prior to joining Polaris, Sarah was responsible for the asset management of a $2.5 billion multifamily portfolio across the south and southeast. She also has a diverse background in property management, development, and underwriting and her industry experience touches all areas of multifamily including conventional, military, student, senior and affordable housing.

Sarah holds a Bachelor’s in Business Management from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Mitchell Vaysman

Senior Analyst

Mitchell works on the Polaris acquisitions team, he supports the team’s sourcing, due diligence, and underwriting of potential investments. He also assists the asset management team in their reporting function.

Prior to joining Polaris, Mitchell worked in New York in private equity real estate and capital advisory.

Mitchell holds a Bachelor’s in Finance from The Pennsylvania State University.

Mitchell Vaysman

Mitchell works on the Polaris acquisitions team, he supports the team’s sourcing, due diligence, and underwriting of potential investments. He also assists the asset management team in their reporting function.

Prior to joining Polaris, Mitchell worked in New York in private equity real estate and capital advisory.

Mitchell holds a Bachelor’s in Finance from The Pennsylvania State University.

Emrose Bhalesha

Development Associate

Emrose supports the team’s sourcing, due diligence, research, and underwriting of all acquisition and development opportunities.

Prior to joining Polaris, Emrose worked for P.S. Housing (a joint venture between Polaris and a local developer), which focused on acquisitions and development of housing projects in Miami.

Emrose holds a Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin.

 

Emrose Bhalesha

Emrose supports the team’s sourcing, due diligence, research, and underwriting of all acquisition and development opportunities.

Prior to joining Polaris, Emrose worked for P.S. Housing (a joint venture between Polaris and a local developer), which focused on acquisitions and development of housing projects in Miami.

Emrose holds a Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin.

Isabel Rivas

Manager, Administration

Isabel joined Polaris in 2017 and brought with her a detailed understanding of accounting, compliance and taxation. She provides administrative leadership and support to the Polaris team.

Prior to joining Polaris, Isabel worked as Office Manager in a multinational medical supply company.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Florida International University and she is pursuing her credentials as a CPA.

Isabel Rivas

Isabel joined Polaris in 2017 and brought with her a detailed understanding of accounting, compliance and taxation. She provides administrative leadership and support to the Polaris team.

Prior to joining Polaris, Isabel worked as Office Manager in a multinational medical supply company.
